How does an online sponsored fundraiser work?

1. Sign up for your fundraiser
It’s easy to sign up and get going – and don’t worry there are no cancellation fees should something mean your fundraiser can’t go ahead.
Once you have signed up we will allocate you your very own Go Raise It Fundraising Campaign Manager. They will guide you through the process and help you plan and get your online sponsored fundraiser up and running.
We recommend getting signed up as soon as possible so you can start making use of your Campaign Manager and all our fundraising guides right from the early planning stages.
2. Get planning with your Go Raise It Campaign Manager
Your Go Raise It Campaign Manager will work with you to set your fundraising dates and then use that to create a Fundraising Plan for you. They will send you any guides that will help you plan your own fundraiser activities – these will vary dependent on the type of event (e.g. A Colour Run just has a single activity day at the end of your fundraiser but a Maths Mania fundraiser may have in school activities throughout your fundraising period).
They will work with you to create initiatives and incentives that will supercharge your fundraising success – this could include milestone and team prizes. They will show you around our Fundraising Manager portal and talk about how you can use that to run live spot prize draws to keep the excitement going for your fundraiser. They will guide you through the best ways to maximise your fundraising success in a way that fits in with your school community.
3. We will get your very own custom fundraising website built and ready!
The Go Raise It team will build you your very own fundraising website using our custom designed online sponsored fundraiser for schools platform. The website will be built using your schools colours, logo and imagery. We will custom craft a “WHY” for fundraising for you based on your fundraising goals.
4. Utilise your communication templates provided by your Go Raise It Campaign Manager
Your Go Raise It Campaign Manager will provide you with a letter template complete with a QR Code for easy access for you to send home to your families via your preferred communication method.
They will provide you with briefings to send to staff at your school and get you setup on our portal where you can track your fundraisers progress and run live spot prize draws using our Spin the Wheel feature.
5. Launch and get fundraising with the help of your own fundraising portal
Once you are ready it’s time to launch! Your Go Raise It Campaign Manager will be there to help you throughout your fundraiser and our Go Raise It helpdesk is there to help your families and community with any support questions along the way.
You will have access to our online portal where you can track your progress and run live spot prize draws using our spin the wheel function.
What does it cost to use Go Raise It to manage our online sponsored fundraiser?
With any Go Raise It online sponsored fundraiser there are no upfront costs.
Go Raise It charge 10% (plus VAT) of your total donations – you can see your total donations on your website at any time during your fundraiser so you will always know exactly what you have raised.
We know there are other more DIY options out there that may appear cheaper but remember to take into account other costs like credit cards and platform fees and the administration involved to manage it yourself. Our fully inclusive fee model makes it super easy to understand and there are no extra costs added on at the end.

- OPTIONAL SUPPORTER TOP UP FEE – Once your supporters have decided to support you, we ask them if they would like to assist with processing costs. Go Raise It uses this money towards credit card processing and platform fees. This is completely optional for your supporters – Go Raise It take’s the risk on this one – if no one opts to pay this then we foot the bill from our fees shown above.
OUR PROGRAM DOES NOT ALLOCATE A PERCENTAGE OF YOUR FUNDS RAISED BACK TO YOUR PARTICIPANTS TO SPEND ON PRIZES
At Go Raise It we take fundraising back to it's roots - we don't believe you should need to give a portion of funds raised to your students/members to spend on prizes for participating.

We truly believe in the intangible benefits young people get from fundraising for a common goal. Fundraising gives them a sense of empowerment from being able to contribute. All our campaigns to date have spent a fraction of their total sum raised on incentive prizes.
We promote the use of sponsored prizes from your community and self funding from your campaign where required. Your Go Raise It Campaign Manager is highly experienced in what works and will help with ideas but it is completely up to you how you run your fundraising prizes and incentives - we give you the ideas and tools to support it.
